SPECIALIST TECHNICAL AREA - Services offered in the field of Enhancement and Restoration
With the acquisition of Archires Srl in 2015, SORGENTE REM has equipped itself with a specialized structure for the execution of enhancement and restoration interventions, expanding in this wat the range of services offered. Therefore the structure is specialized in carrying out enhancement and restoration interventions.
The consolidated experience of the company has its expression in the realization of important restoration interventions, including those concerning the Trevi Fountain, the Thermal Baths of Caracalla, Quintili’s Villa, the Domus Tiberiana, the Farnesian Gardens, the Domus Augustana, the Thermal Baths of Diocleziano, the Underground Basilica of Porta Maggiore, the Temple of Venus and Rome, the Taurine Thermal Baths, the Basilica of S. Pietro in Vincoli, the Antiquarium of the Basilica of SS. Giovanni e Paolo, the Church and Convent of Palazzolo, the Albertoni Palace at the Crypta Balbi, the Andersen Museum, the Boncompagni Ludovisi Museum, the Borrominiana Library belonging to the Convent of S. Carlo alle Quattro Fontane, the Church of S. Maria sopra Minerva, the Palazzo Giustiniani Odescalchi in Bassano Romano, the Church of S. Maria dei Servi, the Fargna Palace and the Fortress in the Città della Pieve, as well as the restoration of historic homes and other buildings submitted to protection.
Through time, restoration projects have been developed and carried out, making it possible to investigate on various themes of structural and surface consolidation on ancient and archaeological structures and to recover and enhance surfaces in stone, brick, painted plaster, stucco, stone and mosaic floor surfaces.
In addition, original techniques regarding the formulation and execution of special mortars for plasters on valuable artifacts, for grouting and reintegration of ancient and archaeological masonry, for floor slabs with aggregates and natural binders have been developed.
In particular, in the field of enhancement, during the last three years various projects have been developed for the redevelopment and restoration of important public buildings, such as the project for the conservative restoration of the façades of the Galleria Colonna - Alberto Sordi in Rome; the project for the conservative restoration of the mosaics and marble floors of the "Forum Imperii", the current Foro Italico in Rome.
These last two projects have been approved by the Superintendence for Architectural Heritage of Rome, and have been drawn up in the form of Project Financing, according to the framework agreement for continuous collaboration with the URBAN VISION company, a leading company in fund raising aimed towards architectural restoration and urban redevelopment.
Through the project Finance SORGENTE REM Srl is actually working on the conservative restoration of the prospectuses of the School "A. Cadlolo" on behalf of the Municipality of Rome I, thanks to the adjudication of the award of the assignment of the concession Cig: 7934650850. The works will start on the 1st of March 2021 and will last 24 months.
During 2021, Sorgente REM was entrusted with the task of structural restoration, the elimination of the shoring and the safety measures of the monumental entrance of Palazzo Tiberi in Rome, in the Monti district, in via IV Novembre 95 and today it is the seat of the "Ennio Quirino Visconti" State Middle School; the property is publicly owned and subject to architectural protection.
